falcon707 - What's the idea!?!
I'll share in good time my friend.
electrosoccertu - You're never smart until you realize you're stupid.
I couldn't agree more, I also agree that I'm pretty stupid
diggywiggit - I'll digg you only if you promise to not put ads on your site.
no ads I promise.
miznig - if his idea is to lease out computers, he is lame indeed
Nope, not leasing out computers, thats just plain gay (not that theres anything wrong with that), software man, its all about the software.
treelovinhippie - You're an idiot... don't stroll up to Michael Dell and hand-over your idea for them to make millions off.
I'm not greedy, .. I make really good cash and am not looking to make a "killing", .. I'd like to see my idea come to fruition and unless I drop everything I'm doing and actively pursue it the smartest thing to do is pass the buck.
Monolith2 - Jose is the biggest douchebag in internet-land.
Don't you love these comments, I'm sure all you need is a little love so .. I love you too Monolith2
chris355 - At any rate, I admire his creativity is using PR to get to to MR. D. Good luck dude!
Thanks chris, I appreciate the good karma.
ledmatrix - No offense joseguia, but in your correspondences with Dell, you come across as a twit. I hope you aren't serious about being contacted about your idea. I doubt they are taking you serious. I sure wouldn’t.
I can be a bit of a twit, I honestly didnt expect this to get so friggin huge, I figured it wouldnt go past a few Diggs, and then fade into oblivion, but hopefully somebody over at Dell notices whats going on.
spartan777 - sorry man, but its a weak idea, lease software/hardware? who cares, why couldn't they now? ..makes you sound like you work at dell. sorry man.
Thats not the idea, and actually its also a lame guess, but at least you didnt call me a twit.
portis - She ROXX eh? Good start to a conversation
Trying a little "Social Engineering" and thinking a little outside the box, I bet they dont remember the guy who emails something like:
<snobbish YALE Accent> Hello Dear, I would like to give you the pleasure of speaking with me. I do rather enjoy dealing with Denise she is a charming lady indeed. </snobbish YALE Accent>
AnalystX - I have to agree with ledmatrix. Your style of communication, if used in a correspondence to me, would have caused an instant spam reaction.
see above reply ..
Snowcat - I love the idea and wish you the best of luck - however, you might want to polish up your emails to be a bit more professional. Don't get me wrong - they're great! You're great! (But it might help to be more polished.)
I agree. I didnt plan on my drive-thru rag-tag webpage getting near the number of hits it got, I mainly started it to share with my friends and a few Dell reps I like and talk to and see where it would go. I'll clean things up a bit from here on out.
luckyjonny - Indeed. The tone of his emails certainly says CRAZYGUY!!!
Arent we all in some form or fashion? If you're not a little bit crazy then you're just plain weird.
adamsucks - Dugg. I look at it this way: It's almost impossible for the average Joe to get his words where they need to go in the corporate world. This is an opportunity to change that, if only just once. I don't really even care what your idea is, it's just the principle of it.
Good luck, man.
Thanks for the positive vibes it certainly helps to outweigh the negativity on here.
jerwood - without much in the way of original R&D is the only kind of guy who can get a great idea like his off the ground.
thats it, you hit the nail smack-dab on the head. I want the idea the concept to catch on, I dont care to make any cash.
Seidoger - With that website, Dell could take your idea and not tell you.
Although the leasing thing already exists -- mostly with PC games though.
Its not a leasing thing, thats a small chunk of what it relates to
tehsexy - do you have a plan for securing your idea when, and if, you reveal your idea to mr. dell ? i'm inferring that you have not actually implemented and patented your idea, so how do you plan to keep YOUR idea from becoming HIS idea once you reveal it to him?
This is the way I see it playing out:
-ENJOYS THE IDEA and I pass on all the info he requests and I sit back and say I came up with the idea.
-HE HATES THE IDEA and I put a quick site together talking about my idea and open it up for a Hadware-Open Source Initiative type thing. Where everybody can have a say in how it should work, find some investors and see if the idea rolls, then I kick back and say I came up with the idea.
TheCheeks - i dont like dell but Digg for you, regular people should be able to contact the head of the company from time to time with fresh ideas. its almost like the big bad companies dont want fresh ideas from actual users anymore.
I agree and thats why I started this whole thing
DoubtfulSalmon - Is anyone running a book on how long it will be before Dell's legal dickheads send a "cease, desist, and hand it over to us" letter about the domain name? 'cos I want in. Ten bucks says it lasts till next tuesday!
I'll take you up on that. This started last week on the Dell forum and they didnt send it then so why would they now?
btipling - Dell is about building computers as fast and as inexpensive as possible, not much else. Also your website is ugly. (I'm really not a hater).
btipling - This guy's website just screams 'ignorant doofus.'
Not a hater huh. hmmm. I love you too btipling
in2thel2ain - I have a great idea that will revolutionize Pamela Anderson's career. But I will only tell it to her boobs and demand a face to face meeting.
I want to be your manager, we can do this together, how about IdeaForPamsCans.com =)
posneg - As another poster said, you sound like a bit of a twit. But then again if you weren't you probably wouldn't go through all this trouble so I say good luck to you! :)
thanks for the luck I'm sure I'm gonna need it
willgonz - Anyway I'm sure Dell has a think tank. You meet with Michael Dell and he tells you, "We already researched it and here is why it won't work."
At that point I'd be hearing him out, I'm all for that. I hope I get that far. If thats the case you guys will know shortly there atfer what the idea is all about.
Salmonized - He should not be telling anyone that he has an idea, because someone is watching what he has to say.....not a smart move....who knows..i may even make them mine..
I dont really care at least my fellow DIGGers will know the truth
ramsinks.com - Dell? Na man, talk to Steve - you know, where inovation actually comes from.
Sorry ramsinks.com - my idea should embrace OPENness, unless I missed something APPLEs not really big on that!
danieldantastic - The fact that you look up to Dell makes you look like a dumb-ass. At least you're trying though, good luck.
Dells not all that bad, I see it as a quick way to make something happen with little or no effort if they bite into it.
marthaphoebe - Michael Dell will steal your idea and leave you in the gutter. Try protecting yourself first.
Again - at least my fellow DIGGers will know the truth and sometimes its not always about the money.
focher - But if you still want to focus on Dell, more power to ya. I just suggest you be more articulate in your communications.
Will do my friend. I will make an attempt at it, ...!!.. But I'm, still an l337 h4/\06
johnlark- I always find it amazing when people assume their idea is the greatest thing since sliced bread and refuse to share it with others.
I will share in good time
digitallysick -
What can I say friggin HILARIOUS
hotdigg - The time of Michael Dell (CEO of a large company), is no doubt quite valuable. Even if this guy only gets 5 minutes of his time, there is a substantial dollar value attached to that 5 minutes. Is his idea worth that? Prove it!
If this site gets his attention I will proved that I at least have what it takes for him to acknowledge that I have an idea.
fuqtard - If you communicate like a 13-year old AOL user, your idea is worth F-ing zero.
Mr fuqtard, I believe you are correct. Could I hire you to rewrite my site?
cosmicr - agreed. things like "you roxx!" will not get you anywhere. how old are you joseguia? I dont care if I get buried, but you sound like a tool.
I am 29 years old and I'm an alcoholic. I'd like to consider myself more of a TOOLBOX.
oh yeah .. I love you TOO!
tumcerhum - Anyone ever heard of viral marketing? I mean, really, guys and gals, look at the unwarranted dell 'innovation' fanboyism.
Not even close. Honestly I dont think Dell's that smart. I'm as real as they get. Send me an email with your phone number I just may discuss my idea with you over the phone.
blankartist - This idea doesn't involve computing on a Segway, does it? 'Cause that idea bombed.
Nope, and that does sound kinda lame
LAhazmat - You can listen to great music while putting back a few drinks with the good people of Austin! I love that town!
Yeah me too. I should prob get out there more often I just might bump into him.
KenYN - I read the site, but I don't think it's a Dell creation - anyone want to probe the domain registration?
You dont have to its registered using the Microsoft Office Live for Domains beta program. It was all free thats why it sux so bad. The tools need some improving like a spell checker for one.
fraggle35 - in two words..... stupid twat
Thanks. I love you too. I have plenty of love to spread around.
munkt0n - "Is it LAME to digg my own story?"not really, but lame takes on a whole new meaning when you refer to yourself as a 'crazy guy'
Dually noted. I should rephrase to plain guy who has some crazy ideas?
crackhammer - I'm sure he'll talk to you once you're in his bedroom sitting on his lap licking his face.
Man thats just sick. I dont know if I love you.
Callero-He's a nice guy, have met with him, hope you succeed
I hear he's a nice guy. You wouldnt get that from his interview on FastCompany
Kazrog - This guy's idea better be amazing, best of luck to him!
I'll try until the end of the year and then I'll give up and share it with you fine folks.
jimoneildm - If you're waiting for Dell to embrace an innovative idea then you will be waiting a long long time.
Maybe your right but there's only one way to find out.
jellygraph - What a moron
I'll change it up for you, Te amo.
lumbergh - the first thing I thought of when I saw all that gushing over DULL was that this is a viral marketing ploy. @gmail.com just to give it extra validity.
try me, real deal my friend
Osmanthus - A better idea is to get a job at Dell first, then try to sell your idea internally. If you aren't skilled enough to get a job there, its likely your idea isnt that great anyway.
I got a really great job that pays really well. I just wanna brag about sharing an idea with Dell
Balanced - If you have a good idea, patent it and develop it as far as you can so as to get venture capital.
Not in it for the money.
kidhero - God you people are stupid.
Yes we are!
